At Compassionate Insight.com, we provide mental health family education and substance use disorder education for adults. This is psychoeducation and occasionally psychotherapy designed to ease stress, anxiety, fear and confusion about navigating life when you have a loved one in the hospital or struggling with their mental health or substance use disorder.

We offer a range of services, designed to be accessible, safe, professional and friendly. Group presentations and questions are managed with a skilled facilitator so that fairness and respect are the standard.
We occasionally accept a limited number of therapy clients, who are parents with adult children with mental health or substance use disorder challenges.

Julie is an independently licensed post MA level Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, with supervisory licenses in both areas. She has worked in residential psychiatric care for adults, numerous levels of care for substance use disorder diagnoses, and has extensive experience working with both
Julie is an independently licensed post MA level Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, with supervisory licenses in both areas. She has worked in residential psychiatric care for adults, numerous levels of care for substance use disorder diagnoses, and has extensive experience working with both at the same time. At this time she is offering services to adults only. She is also teaching in an adjunct faculty capacity at the University of St Thomas Graduate School of Professional Psychology.
